...believing whole-heartedly in yourself and your products or services. Feeling that rush of excitement and confidence when you visualize helping people while having financial prosperity yourself, when ...BOOM! You realize that in order to achieve your goals, you're going to have to SELL stuff.
Your stomach twists in knots and that roadblock leaves you shocked, stranded and deflated.
I know you have the ambition, grit and guts to go after those potential customers. But going fast and getting somewhere are two different things. And I have a feeling you know it. It's the reason you're here, right now.
Maybe you're :
Hi, I’m Cas - nice to (virtually) meet you!

- C.S. Lewis

Our engagement with others starts with empathy, open-mindedness and listening by being present. We use transparency to build open and honest relationships. We apologize for mistakes and take responsibility when we're wrong. We value people and relationships over process and efficiency.
Results Over Politics and Urgency
When the best ideas win, we all win and when it comes to getting the job done, no individual egos need apply. We value pushback because it drives our team to be lean and prioritizing the things that matter lead us to success faster than chasing fires.
Ownership & Accountability
We don't make excuses, and we don't lay blame. Everyone is in this together. We have big freedom, but we also have big accountability to ourselves and others.

Leading With Solutions & Delivering Delight
We define our business by the people we serve, not the products or services we offer. Service-minded is where we start. We strive to empower our teammates and knock down roadblocks. We never leave a discussion about a problem without a solution. Under-promising and over-delivering is our status quo, both to our clients and to each other. Making someone's day is always encouraged.
Passion, Determination, Growth & Learning
Going the extra mile with strategic renewal keeps our team focused, productive and efficient. We know that our strong work ethic can often push us beyond what we think we can do. Learning, teaching and occasionally getting outside our comfort zone is encouraged to help us all thrive.
“Climb the mountain... so you can see the world, not so the world can see you.”
~ David McCullough Jr.
This is what my Minnesota Nice upbringing taught me. Advertising and Marketing was all about whatever you needed to do to get attention and the sale. My demure speak-when-spoken-to upbringing abhorred the thought of putting myself out there and criticized it as being too self-centered. I was taught to pointedly ignore the sleazy used-car salesmen and never trust anything they told me. Be respectful, quiet, prudent. The nail that sticks up gets pounded down.
Lo and behold - one day I found myself working for a marketing firm, helping clients on a daily basis, and teaching a marketing class at my Alma Mater. To do that, I had to reconcile some of my beliefs and un-learn a few falsehoods about marketing.
But the biggest thing that helped me learn how to sell fearlessly was realizing that marketing wasn't about me, it was about helping others.
As I thought more about this, I realized there was this inescapable gaping hole in my knowledge.
My insatiable curiosity intended to fill it, so I dug deeper. There’s a problem with the way we’re using marketing and advertising to communicate. It more often causes mis-communications rather than connections. I wanted to figure out why.
Based on hundreds of interviews and months of research, I revealed some very big issues :
But there was one more issue, deeper than the rest.
I’ve seen companies and individuals that get it. They’ve made great transitions to the new marketing and advertising realm - one where the customer has greater control and two-way communication is now the norm.
But I’ve also seen marketers that are still broadcasting messages. That don’t have the knowledge, skills or time to test every technique out there to find the ones that work today. In this competitive (and fast-growing*) job market, they’re feeling increasing isolated and frustrated.
If u have the innovation & ambition to create great products & services, u have an infinite amount of possibility 4 success. @cas_johnson
I believe there will be winners and losers in this new world of marketing and advertising. The losers will continue to stick their heads in the sand. They'll ignore the fundamental behavioral changes that our phones are making on our society and our lives. They’ll mire themselves in self-help and tactics meant to improve their own performance. They'll continue to soldier on, alone.
The winners will recognize that just because we’ve gone digital doesn’t mean we’ve gone robotic. That there’s still a human on the other side of the screen. Communicating with them is different than before, but it still comes down to fundamentals of human connection. And creating that human connection for others begins only after you’ve made those types of connections yourself.
If you believe in the latter, I want you to join us in our movement. To take marketing back from dog-eat-dog competition and sleazy used-car salespeople**. To promote a grander view of marketing than just a necessary evil.
We believe the right combination of passion, honesty and integrity can rocket businesses past the lower level of want in consumer’s eyes to need in consumers’ hearts. We want everyone to dig past the surface desire to sell and into the core of what marketing’s function is; to believe that marketing has the power to change the world. We believe in Humble Marketing.
